Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona stumbled to yet another league defeat as they lost 1-0 to Madrid-based club Leganes at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys.

Leganes, who move up to 15th, took the lead in the fourth minute when Sergio Gonzalez headed in from Oscar Rodriguez's corner. That would prove to be the only goal of the game. Barcelona dominated, with 20 shots in total, and the closest they came was when Raphinha's half-volley from Alex Balde's cross hit the bar.

Atlético Madrid moved level on points with La Liga leaders Barcelona after a hard-fought 1–0 home win against Getafe on Sunday afternoon. Striker Alexander Sørloth’s 68th-minute header earned all three points for the home side at the Metropolitano Stadium and secured Atleti’s 11th consecutive victory in all competitions.
