After the first storm in a series hitting Northern California in mid-December, some areas of the Sierra recorded more than a foot of snowfall. On Friday, Palisades Tahoe reported they measured 13 inches of snow in the previous 24 hours from the upper mountain with 7 of those inches falling Thursday night.
