Naylor has a history with Yankees ace Gerrit Cole dating back to the 2022 playoffs when the Guardians first baseman infamously "rocked the baby" after taking Cole deep. New York fans then mocked Naylor upon his return to Yankee Stadium.

Andrés Giménez was a very popular guy in the Cleveland Guardians clubhouse. From Steven Kwan to Brayan Rocchio, many of his former teammates showed sadness and disappointment in social media when they heard the now former Guardians second baseman was getting traded to the Toronto Blue Jays.
