Tuesday marks the deadline for residents in the Tampa area to apply for FEMA assistance due to damage from Hurricanes Helene and Milton which hit the area within two weeks of each other.

Disaster Recovery Centers have served 4,500 East Tennesseans since Hurricane Helene hit. Now, some are closing as the FEMA grant deadline approaches on Jan. 7.

ORLANDO, Fla. — Tuesday is your final day to seek federal help if you were impacted by Hurricane Milton or Hurricane Helene. The deadline for Florida residents to apply for FEMA assistance is Jan. 7. Hurricane victims can call 800-621-3362. As a reminder, if you suffered damage from both storms, you will need to apply separately for each one.
