Texas Tech announced on Saturday that junior starting quarterback Behren Morton will not play in the upcoming Liberty Bowl after undergoing shoulder surgery. The school said Morton had surgery on Tuesday in Los Angeles and is projected to resume throwing activities in the spring with the anticipation of returning to full workouts in the summer.
