Louisville and Washington square off in the Sun Bowl
Louisville won 41-14 over Kentucky. Tyler Shough passed for 128 yards on 9-of-18 attempts (50.0%) with no touchdowns and no interceptions. Isaac Brown carried the ball 26 times for 178 yards and scored two touchdowns, adding three receptions for 12 yards. Chris Bell put up 84 yards on three catches.

Louisville football: Bowl game and opponent revealed for Cardinals
Louisville last appeared in the Sun Bowl in 1958 defeating Drake 34-20. This is the fourth consecutive year the Cards (8-4, 5-3 ACC) have been invited to a bowl game, and second straight under head coach Jeff Brohm. It's the program's 20th bowl appearance since 2000.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – The University of Louisville’s fourth consecutive bowl trip will be its fourth straight in a distant locale. The Cardinals, who finished the regular season with an 8-4 record, will face Washington in the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl in El Paso on New Year’s Eve at 2 p.m. on CBS.
