Indian superstar Allu Arjun was taken into custody by Hyderabad police on Friday in connection with a stampede that claimed the life of a woman.

Popular Indian actor Allu Arjun was arrested from his residence following an incident at a theatre where his movie Pushpa 2: The Rule was playing. Shortly after the arrest, he was granted four-week interim bail.

Allu Arjun was treated as a 'special prisoner' in jail as per the orders of the court. He, however, did not seek any special favours during his night in prison. He was arrested on December 13 in connection with the Pushpa 2 stampede case.

Allu Arjun was arrested on Friday in connection with the death of a woman in a stampede during the premiere of his blockbuster "Pushpa 2: The Rule".

The 42-year-old was detained on three charges including ‘voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means’

Allu Arjun's Kissik co-star recently expressed concern over the Pushpa 2 actor's arrest in a case related to a stampede in Hyderabad's Sandhya Theatre which claimed the life of a woman. The actress called his arrest an 'unfortunate situation'.
