TCU finally knows their bowl destination. The Horned Frogs are headed to the Isleta New Mexico Bowl in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where they’ll face the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns. It’s the first ever meeting between the two football programs, although TCU and Louisiana have met on the baseball diamond in recent years.

Two high-powered offenses will go head-to-head when Texas Christian meets Louisiana in the 19th annual New Mexico Bowl.

Texas Christian University (TCU) and Louisiana will face off at the 19th annual Isleta New Mexico Bowl on Dec. 28. The Horned Frogs (8-4, 6-3 Big 12) and the Ragin’ Cajuns (10-3, 7-1 Sun Belt) will be meeting for the first time on the gridiron in Albuquerque.

With its bowl game destination and opponent officially set for Louisiana football, the process starts back over as it prepares for bowl season. The Ragin’ Cajuns (10-3,7-1 SBC) will take on TCU (8-4,

TCU will face Louisiana on Saturday, Dec. 28, at 1:15 p.m. CST on ESPN. The Horned Frogs will enter bowl season as one of the hottest teams in the country with five wins in their final six games and an 8-4 regular-season record.

TCU beat Cincinnati 20-13. Josh Hoover led the Frogs with 212 yards on 18-of-35 passing (51.4%) for no touchdowns and one interception. Hauss Hejny carried the ball eight times for 48 yards. Blake Nowell put up 75 yards on three catches.

TCU and Louisiana-Lafayette will play in the Isleta New Mexico Bowl on Dec. 28, per a report. Hosted at University Stadium in Albuquerque, both teams would be making their New Mexico Bowl debuts.
