DETROIT -- Former Detroit Tigers utility man Zack Short has signed a minor-league deal with the Houston Astros, according to this week’s MLB transactions log. Short, 29, played at the big-league level for the New York Mets, Boston Red Sox and Atlanta Braves in 2024.
