The holidays are not off to the best start for the royal family. According to multiple outlets, a Christmas party for staff got "out of control" and led to one person getting arrested, forcing Buckingham Palace to issue a statement on the situation.

Buckingham Palace said it would investigate staff working for Britain's royal family following an after-party in London which the Sun newspaper reported had ended in a "punch-up" and "bar brawl". Workers attended an early evening reception at Buckingham Palace before heading to a nearby bar to carry on the celebrations.
