Kadokawa suffered a ransomware cyberattack earlier this year, but employees were left disappointed by the response from current president and CEO Takeshi Natsuno.

One veteran employee from Kadokawa recently spoke to Bunshun about the acquisition and expressed some excitement about Sony's acquisition. The reason? Dissatisfaction with Natsuno

The hope, then, is that Sony's acquisition will result in a change of management. Kadokawa's current CEO is Takeshi Natsuno, who took up the role back in 2021. But again, it sounds like he isn't very popular with his workforce right now — based on these anonymous statements, at least.

Employees of Kadokawa are reportedly hopeful that a potential takeover by Sony is completed, due to issues with the current management at the company. Last month it was reported that Kadokawa, the media powerhouse that owns Elden Ring developer FromSoftware among other companies, was in talks to be acquired by Sony.
