The former Michigan State offensive lineman who entered the portal this week announced his transfer commitment to San Diego State via social media on Friday. Fincher’s dad, Mark, was an offensive lineman for the Spartans and his brother, Trenton, signed with San Diego State’s 2016 recruiting class before medically retiring from football.

Dallas Fincher made the decision to transfer out of the Michigan State football program after five seasons with the Spartans. Fincher, a legacy recruit in the 2020 recruiting class, unfortunately could never crack the starting rotation in his time with MSU.

Michigan State football has lost a veteran member of their offense line to the NCAA transfer portal on Monday. After four seasons with the program, Dallas Fincher has made the decision to enter the transfer portal. Fincher was never able to crack the starting lineup in East Lansing, despite several injuries during his tenure.

Michigan State football has hosted a ton of visitors from the transfer portal, looking to rebuild their roster in a multitude of ways heading into the 2025 campaign. The Spartans are open to adding any position on the roster.
